You Miss 100% of the Shots You Do Not Take- Todd Angilly, Rachel Goguen , and Owen Goguen

Todd Angilly:  Married, 2 children, Cassie and Luke. Bachelor's Degree, working on Master's Degree. Trained Opera Singer.  Began working at Fenway Park in the culinary department. Was asked to sing the National Anthem several times for the Boston Red Sox. Later began working at the Boston Garden and was asked to sing the Anthem at various times. When the permanent Anthem singer for the Boston Bruins retired, Todd auditioned and was named the permanent National Anthem Singer for the Boston Bruins.

 

Rachel Goguen: Began working with service dogs in 2011. Service dogs were given to Veterans and people with physical and developmental disabilities. I got Owen in 2013 and he brought so many smiles to people. I wanted to do something special with him. We became a therapy dog team. We've gone into hospitals, nursing homes, hospice centers to visit patients. A few months ago, we went into an office building where they had just lost a beloved colleague to Covid. The head of the company had reached out to me to come and visit. The staff did not know we were coming.  We walked in and immediately had people in suits sitting on the floor playing with Owen. They then began talking about their colleague, laughing, crying, all the while playing with Owen. 

 

How this came about: I taught Owen to "Stay" during the National Anthem. Todd and I have been friends for a long time. During the pandemic, Todd was doing Christmas parades and singing. Todd asked if Owen could come and we did parades. One day Todd said "We should do a cartoon about Owen and I." I said "How about a book?" And the rest is history...

LaTonya developed a love and passion for education, specifically in English, and made the decision while living in Atlanta and attending Georgia State University to focus on higher education as her career path. Continuing her education at Troy University, LaTonya received her Master’s degree in Post-Secondary Education with a concentration in English. With her education and experience of over 15 years, she expects only the best of her students. Author Stacy A. Padula of Plymouth, Massachusetts has accrued years of experience working with adolescents as a private educational consultant with extensive experience in the fields of college counseling and tutoring, as well as a mentor, life coach, and youth group leader. For roughly eight years, she was the director of a private education company, where she managed a staff of thirty tutors and developed all company curriculum. In 2020, Stacy began writing a third book series with NBA Coach Brett Gunning. Brett Gunning has spent the last 26 years coaching in College and the NBA. He began his career in 1994 as an assistant coach for Jay Wright at Hofstra University.
